Longing to be somewhere cozy.
Knowing I need a haircut but avoiding the expense.

Feeling lucky to have such wonderful animals around me.

Panicking about the brain-lock.

I usually know when my favorite musicians are releasing their new work.

I have been a little neglectful the last few months for good reasons.

However, there is NO good reason I didn’t realize that Anna Ternheim’s new collection was out on August 11! August 11. 3.5 months ago. And, I just figured this out today.

I am a bad fan.

BTW, it does not disappoint.

I shall now clean the kitchen (as penance) to her sultry Swedish voice and unforgettably simple lyrics.

(I saw her when I was in Portland. There was only about 30 people there during her set. She was the opener. She was incredible.)

I love DCFC. From early days to now. There is a overall feel to their discography that is touching, sad, sensitive and markedly honest. It’s like a beautiful decay set to music.

Ben Gibbard has one of my favorite voices. It has a way of soothing me like a lullaby, which makes sense since have fallen asleep to their music on more than one occasion.

I am unemployed after working my tail to the bone for almost 5 years. The same thing happened at my previous employer 5 years ago. One corporate. One non-profit. There is no loyalty anymore. So, you have to do it - work - for how it makes you feel inside. I didn’t do that for nearly a decade.

Today is the first day of being unemployed.

Today is the first day of many new things.

Today is the first day of finding happiness.
